Social Services at Witkoppen Health and Welfare Centre work in conjunction with the medical services available at the Clinic, underlying the philosophy that treating a person holistically - physically and mentally - is the best approach. Our social services team is headed by Mpolokeng Kambule, a very experienced social worker.
- Our Poverty Alleviation Project focuses on helping patients prepare their application materials for childcare and disability grants, provision of food parcels and clothing, as well as referral to income generating projects outside of Witkoppen Health and Welfare Centre.

- Statutory work includes foster care and referral for adoption. Auxiliary social workers support this work in addition to providing community outreach, visiting homes in nearby informal settlements.
